The successful candidate will conduct studies of the regulation of aqueous outflow in glaucoma. Candidate will apply standard techniques to research assignments including evaluation, selection, and application on an Aqueous Outflow System/Glaucoma Research Study.<BR><BR>Individual will learn and improve work practices and develop extensions to existing methods and protocols. Individual will also manage laboratory schedule and EH&S protocols, organize lab data as well as order and maintain inventory of lab supplies.<BR><BR>Duties include:<BR>Assessing study design requirements for aqueous outflow research<BR>Implementing new glaucoma research methods and protocols<BR>Developing protocols for using native fluorescence and confocal microscopy to image structures in Schlemm''s canal.<BR>Developing protocols for introduction of fluorescent microspheres into the anterior chamber of the eye as tracers.<BR>Establishing new perfusion system in laboratory.<BR>Developing protocols and set up laboratory for immunohistochemistry. <BR>Identifying antibodies associated with regulation of aqueous outflow.<BR>Developing and implementing protocols for making 3D projections of histologic and confocal image stacks.<BR>Managing daily operations of office/lab, ordering, and inventory.<BR><BR>For detailed information on Benefits for this positionclick here.<BR>Requirements:<BR>Bachelor''s degree in related field and 2-3 years ophthalmic experience.<BR>Developmental experience in project design and implementation.<BR>Knowledge of principles of ocular pharmacology, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy<BR>Knowledge of glaucoma classifications, medical, laser and surgical options and the mechanisms of aqueous outflow<BR>Familiarity with eye surgery techniques, instruments and equipment.<BR>                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 </font></td>
