Work with interdisciplinary teams of scientists in the pursuit of common observational and research goals. This position will perform a variety of laboratory, data and managerial tasks including the analysis of nutrient, oxygen and chlorophyll concentrations in seawater; quality control and analysis of large oceanographic data sets; preparation and staging of equipment for oceanographic expeditions; assist in the acquisition of funding to further research goals; help plan meetings and workshops for large groups of scientists; and conduct outreach with the general public. The incumbent should expect to spend several months per year at sea. <BR><BR>REQUIREMENTS:<BR>-Bachelor of Science in chemistry or related science discipline and a minimum of 6 months experience in the analysis of dissolved nutrients in seawater. <BR>-Prior experience may include time at sea, the use of optical seawater sensors, creating web-pages, delivering presentations at large meetings, and writing scientific papers and grant proposals.<BR>-Must be organized, work well with others, with potential leadership capabilities. <BR><BR><BR>Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.<BR>Condition of Employment:<BR>A satisfactory outcome from a criminal background verification may be required prior to hire.<BR><BR>-This position is located at NOAA''s Pacifi                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       </font></td>
