               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Safety Director<BR>Location: Seattle, WA - Corporate<BR><BR>Printer Friendly<BR><BR><BR>Description<BR><BR>Darigold is seeking a motivated Safety Director to join our Seattle Corporate team. The Director is responsible for providing oversight and direction for assuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements of federal (primarily OSHA), state and local authorities. The Director shall be responsible for development and implementation of the Darigold Safety Program which includes awareness and training, internal and external compliance audit oversight, consultant management and effective use of non-compliance prevention tools. The Director will provide effective leadership to assure that systems and methods are in place to meet the requirements and applicable law. The Director will identify, asset needs to resolve problems and eliminate concerns, regarding ongoing regulatory compliance. <BR>Essential Duties and Responsibilities(other duties may be assigned):<BR>* Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate safety initiatives that exceed regulatory requirements.<BR>* Create, support and implement strategies to establish and improve Safety Compliance within Darigold.<BR>* Manage all aspects of safety compliance, and reporting through the Enviance software system.<BR>* Establish safety and management systems in order to achieve OSHA certifications.<BR>* Support and training of personnel in proper safety procedures.<BR>* Develop, evaluate, recommend and support plant processes and equipment changes/improvements to maximize safety results.<BR>* Educate personnel in safety and develop operating parameters.<BR>* Primary interface with local, state and federal regulatory commissions regarding safety practices.<BR>* Establish and assure adherence to internal auditing schedules.<BR>* Lead root cause analysis and preventive/corrective action follow-up.<BR>* Work with self insured administrator and plant management in the disposition of workman compensation claims.<BR>* Work with Operations group in determining safety targets at all Darigold locations as a measure of performance.<BR>Key Success Factors:<BR>* Meet established Goals and performance objectives.<BR>* Lead safety activities.<BR>* Oversee training personnel in safety procedures.<BR>* Develop complete and accurate documentation for emergency situations.<BR>* Proactive approach to employee awareness and compliance of safety regulations.<BR>* Establish and maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local safety regulations.<BR>Required Skills:<BR>* Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.<BR>* The ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels of education/experience/language and collaborate with cross-functional teams to reach joint decisions, identify and resolve problems.<BR>* Positive, proactive, self-directed approach.<BR>* Effective anticipation and analysis of root causes.<BR>* Ability to anticipate needs, forecast conditions, set goals/standards and measure results.<BR>* Good organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.<BR>* The ability                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     </font></td>
