This position will be an integral member of the research team and collaborate with research scientists located at multiple research sites within Amgen. Innovative and interdisciplinary thinking towards the development of new approaches for the discovery of novel targets and a better understanding of respiratory disease are expected. This individual will be expected to make major contributions to the generation of novel therapeutics to address major unmet medical needs.<BR>Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree<BR>OR<BR>Master?s degree & 5 years scientific experience<BR>OR<BR>Bachelor?s degree & 7 years of scientific experience<BR>Preferred Qualifications Broad expertise in both in vitro and in vivo techniques, with particular emphasis on experimental approaches for pulmonary biology and fibrosis, including development of relevant animal models and cell/tissue culture system.<BR><BR>Expertise in fibroblast/myofibroblast biology, epithelial injury models, bioinformatic or imaging approaches, and a strong emphasis on human biology are highly desirable.<BR><BR>Highly motivated, creative, and collaborative.<BR><BR>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to lead a team, are essential.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        </font></td>
