When you join Nordstrom, you are welcomed into a family dedicated to creating memorable and rewarding shopping experiences for our customers.<BR><BR><BR>The ideal Lead Analyst will enjoy solving business problems, use their SQL & SAS skills to analyze the purchasing behavior of Nordstrom customers, and help translate their results into actionable business recommendations. <BR>Responsibilities  <BR>* Enhance understanding of the relationship between customers and retail purchasing behavior across all channels<BR>* Compile / manage and summarize large amounts of data using SQL from Nordstrom?s internal Customer Knowledge Warehouse<BR>* Use SAS programming language to analyze customer behavior and/or business performance data, develop dynamic reporting and summarize findings<BR>* Shape analyses and deploy information to result in actionable business recommendations<BR>Qualifications<BR>* <BR>Bachelor?s degree, preferably in social science, computer science, business, or math/statistics.<BR>* <BR>3-6 years business experience; preferably in a retail or marketing environment.<BR>* <BR>3-6 years business experience programming in SAS.<BR>* <BR>Experience using SQL to pull information from a large database, demonstrated ability to use macros to automate business reporting a plus.<BR>* <BR>Ability to present summarized findings using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).<BR>* <BR>Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.<BR>* <BR>Extraordinary ability to manage multiple research and decision support projects while keeping focused on the big picture?; knowledge of retail and ecommerce analysis and reporting a plus.<BR><BR>Since 1901, Nordstrom has offered a wide variety of quality apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children at our stores across the country.
