 <td align="left">DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Patrols assigned area on foot or in a motor vehicle, as assigned, to ensure personal, equipment and property security. 2. Examines doors, windows, buildings and gates to ensure security; uses keys to open and close buildings, sets or resets building alarms as needed, and monitors closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities. 3. Informs and warns violators of client and company rules, policies and procedures and reports same to the appropriate person(s) in charge. 4. Provides escort services for visitors, clients and staff as necessary; provides other public assistance and information as needed. 5. Watches for and reports irregularities such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations. Contacts emergency responders such as police, fire and/or ambulance personnel as required. 6. Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or safety violations. 7. Performs periodic checks of property and/or buildings to ensure proper functioning. Reports malfunctions to appropriate personnel as required. 8. Patrols and monitors assigned parking areas and/or parking garages for parking violations, reports violations to appropriate person(s), and provides public safety and assistance as required. 9. Maintains security controls for issued keys and security alarm codes; safeguards and controls issued equipment. 10. Prepares routine and standardized reports. 11. Assures all property removal/control is conducted within client policies, procedures and/or POST orders. 12. Responds to a wide variety of emergence incidents such as fire, medical, threats of violence, hazardous materials, etc. 13. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS • 18 years of age • High school diploma or GED • No Criminal Convictions • Access to reliable means of communication such as a telephone, pager and/or cellular phone • Access to reliable transportation such as a personal vehicle or public transportation MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS (continued) • Must be able to pass a drug screen (pre-employment & during employment) • Must be able to pass Homeland Security background requirements • Meet and maintain State of Oregon security officer licensing requirements • Prefer at least one (1) year of directly related experience, which may include directly related certification or practicum training REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and understand, read, write and speak English clearly • Ability to write and complete reports and routine paperwork • Ability to successfully conduct security patrols without direct supervision • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions, policies and procedures • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations • Skill in performing building security alarm and lock procedures • Knowledge of public safety codes, policies and regulations • Skill in providing protection services to companies and individuals • Ability to understand, follow and enforce safety codes, regulations and procedures • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle when required WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT • Work involves moderate to extreme exposure to unusual elements such as weather conditions, temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average weight objects, standing and/or walking for extended periods of time • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions</td>

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

GED/HS Equivalency Washington Security License Preferred 6 Months
