When you join Nordstrom, you are welcomed into a family dedicated to creating memorable and rewarding shopping experiences for our customers.<BR><BR>The ideal compensation analyst is motivated, results-oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service everyday.<BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR>* Partner with management, Human Resources and others to develop, administer and communicate cash compensation programs that support the business. <BR>* Conduct audits of compensation data, validating calculations and data outputs.<BR>* Provide pay support and advice on new hires, promotions and transfers.<BR>* Align external market competitiveness through labor market analysis and pay structure development.<BR>* Contribute to the development of career paths and align internal job and pay relationships.<BR>* Administer bonus plans, including modeling and forecasting costs and calculating year-end payouts.<BR>* Ensure employee and management understanding of compensation programs and processes through ongoing communication and training.<BR>* Maintain understanding of applicable laws and regulations including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, ADA and others.<BR>Qualifications<BR><BR>* Compensation analysis experience, demonstrating sound and thoughtful decision-making.<BR>* Demonstrated analytical and modeling skills, including expertise in spreadsheet analytics and database development.<BR>* Working knowledge of statistical analysis used for compensation.<BR>* Ability to work independently and problem solve proactively.<BR>* Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.<BR>* Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in a related field or the equivalent in training and experience. <BR>Since 1901, Nordstrom has offered a wide variety of quality apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children at our stores across the country.
