               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Senior Scientist<BR>Location: US-Washington-Seattle<BR>Job Number:_RES1004F<BR>The Senior Scientist - Advanced Cytometry will provide expertise in the areas of use, design, implementation, and support of the Influx Cell Sorter platform, and will work closely with the BD sales team and customers to develop appropriate protocols for the Advanced Cytometry?s Engineered to Order (ETO) program. In addition, this position will work closely with BD scientists and engineers to implement customer-oriented solutions to unique cell sorting challenges.<BR><BR>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<BR>* Maintain the Advanced Cytometry research facility consisting of several high speed cell sorters, centrifuges and other biological laboratory equipment<BR>* Work closely with BD sales team members to determine appropriate optical configuration of 5, 7, and 10 laser cytometers<BR>* Work closely with customers and BD associates to test and validate ETO solutions<BR>* Collaborate with internal QA and QC personnel to maintain safety and laser compliance for ETO systems<BR>* Work with cross-functional team to transfer the ETO designs to the production teams on San Jose for commercialization<BR>* Evaluate new laser and detector subsystems for inclusion on future product offerings<BR>* Support development of technical papers, poster, and other internal/external documents and communications as needed<BR><BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR>Education and Experience:<BR>* Requires a minimum of a BS in a Life Science or Engineering discipline (advanced degrees are preferred)<BR>* Minimum of 5 years relevant experience<BR>* Minimum of 2 years applying automation to Life Sciences<BR>* Experience with cytometers, high speed cell sorters and laboratory instrumentation is requiredMinimum Knowledge and Skills:<BR>* Requires mechanical aptitude, for example; a demonstrated working ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem resolution of cytometric equipment<BR>* Familiarity and experience with Cell Biology and mammalian cell culture is preferred<BR>* Must have organization, planning, and goal setting skills and demonstrated capability to work with minimal supervision<BR>* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated success working in a team environment to achieve desired goals are required<BR>* Some business travel may be required<BR>* Experience in Biopharmaceutical industry is a plus<BR><BR>Job: Research & Development                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      </font></td>
