IT Services is responsible for the development, acquisition, implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise computing systems, applications and infrastructure which support the Institutional mission of patient care, teaching, and research in a 24 hour 7 day mission-critical medical care environment.<BR><BR>UW Medicine IT Servicesis looking for an outstandingSENIOR SECURITY ENGINEERto join the team! TheSenior Security Engineerwill work as a member of the IT Services Security team providing security expertise to internal customers throughout UW Medicine. IT Services Security provides technical security services including incident response, digital forensics, exposure management, vulnerability management, and general security consulting. The team develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidance and provides awareness and training activities to promote good security practices.<BR><BR>The Senior Security Engineer must have strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to collaborate with the IT Services Security team as well as with other UW Medicine and University departments. The ability to communicate effectively with nontechnical staff at a variety of levels from front line staff to executive management is also critical to success in the position. The Senior Security Engineer must be able to think independently and critically, develop solutions appropriate for the organization, and to conduct themselves with high standards of professionalism at all times.<BR>Requirements:<BR>EDUCATION:<BR>Bachelor?s degree in a technical, scientific, or business administration field. Equivalent experience may substitute for the educational requirement.<BR><BR>EXPERIENCE:<BR>* Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate orally and in writing.<BR>* 2 - 7+ years experience in the information security field.<BR>* 2 - 7+ years experience with major operating systems administration including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux.<BR>* One year hands-on experience with popular scripting languages.<BR>* One year experience with host-based and/or network appliance firewalls including design and analysis.<BR>* One year experience working on security incident response.<BR>* One year experience in digital forensics analysis using a variety of open source and/or commercial tools.<BR>* One year experience conducting system security assessments, control analysis, risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, or </font></td>
