We develop systems to monitor and defend one of the largest, distributed networks in the world. Our tools detect, diagnose and respond to security threats in real-time, ensuring the fastest possible response to threats aimed at AWS infrastructure and applications. We are highly customer centric and work closely with them to develop new features that serve their needs.<BR><BR>As a senior member of this team you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and deployment of network monitoring, data mining and system analysis tools which allow AWS to detect and defend against malicious internet traffic.<BR><BR>You will take responsibility for the technical direction of the team as well as the direction of the architecture and design of products and features.<BR><BR>You will be involved from inception to deployment of solutions to solve complex real-time problems in one of the largest and most distributed commercial networks in the world.<BR><BR>You with take point on interacting with our customers to understand their needs and translating that into requirements and deliverables for the team.<BR><BR>Additionally you will be responsible for mentoring junior team members in best practices, as well as technical coaching.<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR>* Excellent C/C++ programmer<BR>* Knowledge of Linux packet processing methods<BR>* Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, UDP, TCP and BGP.<BR>* Experience building and operating line rate packet processing systems<BR>* Experience working in network wide security.<BR>* Experience with DDoS security threats<BR>* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.<BR>* Experience working in Linux based environments.<BR>* A passion for defining and growing a business.<BR>* Experience leading projects and teams<BR>* BSc in Comp Sc. or equivalent<BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR>* Knowledge of xtables<BR>* Linux Kernel Level programming<BR>* Experience with Firewall and proxy devices                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              </font></td>
