We design, create and deploy software monitoring tools worldwide in large, distributed networks. Our tools detect and diagnose security threats in realtime, ensuring that we have the fastest possible response to security threats aimed at AWS and it''s customers. We are highly customer centric and work closely with them to develop new features that serve their needs.<BR><BR>As a senior member of this team you will be responsible for the development of network monitoring, data mining and system analysis tools which allow AWS to detect and defend against malicious internet traffic.<BR><BR>* You will design and implement tools in state of the art networks, dealing with realtime problems worldwide.<BR>* You will be involved from inception to deployment and beyond, for interacting with our customers and gathering requirements, to supporting the product operationally.<BR>* You will take an influential role in determining the direction of the team and lead technical direction in the architecture and design of products and features.<BR>* Additionally you will be responsible for mentoring junior team members in best practices, as well as technical coaching.<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR><BR>* Industrial strength Java, C++ and/or Perl experience<BR>* Experience working in Linux based environments.<BR>* Experience working in network wide security.<BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR>* Experience with AntiDDoS or related security threats<BR>* Knowledge of data mining methods<BR>* Knowledge of mathematical data treatment<BR>* Experience building and operating highly available distributed systems.<BR>* A passion for defining and growing a business.<BR>* Ability to perform data driven analysis to solve problems.<BR>* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.<BR>* Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, UDP, TCP and BGP.<BR>* Team leadership or a senior influential position in a team<BR>* Coaching experience                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        </font></td>
