We build everything with production traffic in mind, which forces us to think about how solutions scale. There are opportunities for you to become specialized in areas of interest or to learn a lot about all of the different technologies. Former engineers on our team have moved on to found successful startups and lead other teams within Amazon.<BR><BR>Engineers on our team are faced with important architectural decisions as we continue to build out new functionality. On other teams, a lot of the important architectural decisions have already been made by the time you''ll work on a feature. On Turk, you''re the engineer making those decisions - even as college new hire. Implementation choices that you make will have a direct customer impact through our daily releases.<BR><BR>What you can expect in your first 6 months on MTurk:<BR><BR>* You will be paired with a mentor on our team that will help you through your first few months and given a launch plan that will help teach you about our product and team best practices<BR>* You can expect to start shipping customer-facing features within your first full day on the team.<BR>* You will start owning small features in the first month, working closely with the rest of the team on implementation tradeoffs<BR>* As you move towards 6 months, features that you own will get more important and more complex, building solid design and collaboration skills<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR><BR>* Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ years relevant work experience<BR>* Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis<BR>* Knowledge of one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C++, C#<BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR>* Experience building and operating online services and fault-tolerant distributed systems<BR>* Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations<BR>* Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy<BR>* Familiarity with front end technologies (Rails, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript.)<BR><BR>*LI-AS2                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  </font></td>
