The Sr. Finance Manager will be a key partner to the business team, influencing and guiding decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business at Amazon. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage the financial responsibilities of a high-growth business.<BR><BR>In addition, the successful candidate will oversee the forecasting and controllership of the GPS organization''s operating budget and headcount, and work with the finance director to provide specific financial support surrounding those areas<BR><BR>This position will be a key risk/controllership gateway for the Credit Card business and requires a candidate with strong communication skills, confidence and ability to push back when it is warranted. The successful candidate will, be comfortable working in cross-functional teams, and demonstrate strong leadership skills. He or she must be able to interact directly with senior leadership. The ideal candidate must have superior attention to detail, project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Strong analytical skills are required.<BR><BR>Primary responsibilities include:<BR><BR>* Conducting ad hoc financial analyses and new project evaluations<BR>* Leading and participating as the key finance stakeholder in cross functional teams<BR>* Developing and reporting on weekly financial and operational performance metrics<BR>* Controllership of monthly financial reporting<BR>* Long and short term financial planning<BR>* Partner with the business team to develop new ideas and creative solutions<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR><BR>* BA/BS degree<BR>* 7+ years of finance and/or accounting experience in a large scale corporate environment<BR>* Strong leadership and people management skills<BR>* Process improvement experience<BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR>* MBA degree preferred<BR>* Strong leadership and people management skills<BR>* Superior attention to detail, project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously<BR>* Strong analytical skills are required<BR>* Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload<BR>* Candidates must also have fluency in standard software including Excel.
