Position Summary A senior-level individual contributor in the Information Technology department to coordinate security efforts across the company involving data, network & information technology, telecommunications, and IT facilities. Responsible for understanding security risk assessments and implementing best-practice controls, definition of initiatives to mitigate risks, and development/promulgation best-practice standards, policies and procedures. A senior technical resource that will assist senior management in prioritizing tactical initiatives to meet strategic security goals and be an individual contributor in the successful implementation of those initiatives. Responsibilities * Responsible for upholding F5?s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies. * Risk Assessment: Have complete understanding of the IT risk assessment process and update the risk assessment as controls are implemented and risks mitigated. * Initiatives: Recommend initiatives to address identified security risks. Manage and execute on approved initiatives as assigned. * Evaluate, recommend, select, and manage the implementation of proven industry accepted solutions to enhance F5 Network's core security capabilities in the areas of infrastructure, access management, networking, databases, servers, etc. * System Standards: Establish detailed security standards and define procedures to ensure information systems are developed, implemented, and maintained accordingly * Compliance: Work with Legal and Accounting departments to fully understand F5?s regulatory and contractual information security obligations. Assist in efforts to ensure full compliance and work with internal/external auditors regarding IT security controls. * Vendors: Work with vendors, outside consultants, and other third parties to improve F5 systems security. * Policies: Update, collaborate, do gap-analysis, and recommend corporate policies, standards and guidelines related to information systems security. * Incident Response: Develop documented procedures for responding to security breaches. Lead incident investigations and coordinate follow-up remediation activities. * Education: Coordinate systems security awareness and training initiatives to ensure all employees understand their responsibilities in this area. * Perform other related duties as assigned.
