When you join our team, you are welcomed into a family dedicated to creating memorable and rewarding shopping experiences for our customers.<BR><BR>The ideal programmer analyst will thrive in an intellectually challenging environment, solve problems and work with team members to create high-quality, leading edge software solutions.  <BR><BR>Responsibilities<BR>* Design and develop cutting edge e-commerce applications using Microsoft and Apple technology stacks<BR>* Respond to mission-critical software problems in a rapid and high-quality fashion<BR>* Analysis, development and documentation of technical requirements<BR>* Technical estimation of work to be performed by self or others<BR>* Work with defect tracking, source code control and software release systems to ensure high-quality software releases over time<BR>* Collaborate with team for continuous improvement in an Agile development environment<BR>Qualifications<BR>* Minimum of 5 years professional software development experience<BR>* Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in either Microsoft .NET or Java development<BR>* Experience in how to follow, adhere to, and enhance a Software Development Methodology (Waterfall or Agile)<BR>* Familiarity with objected oriented principles and patterns<BR>* Ability to manage and prioritize own workload<BR>* Demonstrated ability to be a team player as well as an independent performer<BR>* Strong verbal and written communication skills<BR>* Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis abilities<BR>* Experience with .Net 4.0, Objective C, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, AJAX, SOA, SEO, HTML5, MVC3, Web APIs and secure coding<BR>* Understanding of E-Commerce, search engines, integration of social networks preferred<BR>* Design and creation of relational database schemas and SQL queries preferred<BR>* Experience with performance tuning a plus<BR>Since 1901, Nordstrom has offered a wide variety of quality apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children at our stores across the country.
