In addition to doing design and writing code to implement hardening, this person will have the opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of security related aspects for a range of components of the Isilon product including disk drives, drivers, the kernel, the clustered file system, user-space daemons, and configuration mechanisms used in the cluster.<BR>Required skills, knowledge, and experience:<BR>- 3-5 years of industry experience on software development.<BR>- Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience<BR>- Experience with Unix operating systems such as FreeBSD and Linux or Windows<BR>- Experience programming in C and in scripting languages such as Perl and Python<BR>- Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization capabilities of Windows, UNIX, Linux, Apple and middleware<BR>- Fundamentals of network routing and switching<BR>- Experience in TCP/IP; web architectures and technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, XML, REST, PHP<BR>- Experience with database technologies<BR>Other preferred experience, knowledge, and certification:<BR>- Vulnerability assessment including cross-site scripting, SQL injection, HTTP response splitting, OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25<BR>- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Retina, and the STIGs<BR>- Experience writing applications using PKI, digital certificates, and cryptography<BR>- Knowledge of techniques to reduce web-application vulnerabilities<BR>- Experience implementing data-at-rest encryption system<BR>- Experience with software development to achieve FIPS 140-2 and Common Criteria certification<BR>- Experience with penetration testing<BR>- CISSP, GPEN, or smilar information security certification </font></td>
