Data will support clinical and public health decisions and priorities and assist in ability to compete for grant funding.<BR><BR>Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:<BR><BR>* Develop and program data bases. Evaluate and modify existing data bases to accommodate system and program changes.<BR><BR>* Manage data in SQL server and Microsoft Access.<BR><BR>* Produce analysis reports of STD program data for the purpose of monitoring epidemiologic trends and clinic quality assurance.<BR><BR>* Assist in epdemiologic study design.<BR><BR>* Interact with federal and off-site investigators and public health officials to coordinate data collection, monitoring and pooling for multicenter projects and national surveillance effort.<BR><BR>* Coordinate data sharing with researchers and other epidemiologists in the HIV/STD program.<BR><BR>* Access and integrate data from different data systems, including matching data records.<BR><BR>* Evaluate and modify existing databases to accommodate system changes.<BR><BR>* Monitor data quality.<BR><BR>* Copy data from one database management system to another (e.g. SQL to SAS).<BR><BR>* Assist in managing and troubleshooting the STD Program shareware, software and computers.<BR>Requirements:<BR><BR>* Bachelors degree in Statistics, Computer Sciences or related degree.<BR><BR>* Two years previous experience in data base management.<BR>Desired:<BR><BR>* Masters degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or computer sciences with an emphasis on                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       </font></td>
