The Global Tax Calculation Services Program is comprised of tax professionals and software engineers that are responsible for providing end-to-end global transaction tax calculation solutions (sales and use taxes, value-added taxes, good and services taxes, and other consumption taxes) to Amazon and thousands of other merchants selling on Amazon marketplaces and other ecommerce platforms.<BR><BR>Primary job duties include:<BR>? Communicate with third party sellers, customers, and Customer Service regarding the calculation of transaction taxes<BR>? Perform daily customer service resolution through monitoring and answering customer tax related contacts or inquiries<BR>? Work with other customer support teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality level of support<BR>? Configuration and ongoing maintenance of Amazon.com?s transaction tax calculation software<BR>? Research transaction tax laws to create and maintain the tax rules (e.g. product taxability) within the transaction tax calculation software<BR>? Assist in the development of department methods and procedures<BR>? Other duties as assigned<BR>Job Qualifications<BR>? Very strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills<BR>? A team orientated, customer-centric attitude<BR>? Excellent customer service skills<BR>? Very comfortable working in a fast-paced and continually changing environment<BR>? A bachelor?s degree is required.<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR>? Bachelor?s degree<BR>? Understanding of Sales & Use Tax and customer exemption certificates<BR>? Intermediate skills in Excel & Access<BR>? Analytical - successful in reviewing data and identifying issues, causes & solutions<BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR>? Knowledge of SQL a plus<BR>? Knowledge of Vertex O a plus but not required<BR>? 1-3 years prior sales and use tax experience<BR>? Willing to roll up sleeves, ask questions and be interested in working<BR>?
