The PSDBA will coordinate projects with other teams that manage the databases that rely on the access control system and include such as PeopleSoft, Follow-Me-Printing, Payroll Deduction and visitor control systems. This position is based in Seattle, WA and reports to the Sr. Manager, WW Physical Security Operations.<BR><BR>The PS-DBA will be responsible for:<BR><BR>* Day-to-day operations of a fast-paced complex distributed database environments supporting primarily access control environments<BR>* Performance tuning at the database level<BR>* SQL and PL/SQL tuning<BR>* Review and recommend logical design<BR>* Supporting projects that leverage the physical security databases<BR>* Converting logical to physical design<BR>* Backup and recovery (RMAN and traditional)<BR>* On-call support during the day on weekdays and on-call support during weekends<BR>Basic Qualifications<BR><BR>* 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Informix<BR>* Experience with Linux<BR>* Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)<BR>* 3+ years of experience supporting physical security access control systems<BR>* Experience with backup and recovery<BR>* Experience with Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)<BR>* Experience with performance tuning<BR>* BS in computer science or related field<BR>Preferred Qualifications<BR><BR>* Highly motivated to solve problems efficiently.<BR>* Fast troubleshooting and resolution skills<BR>* Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.<BR>* Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with DBA and application teams<BR>* Strong query and database tuning skills<BR>* Capacity monitoring and management capabilities<BR>* Experience in Linux is a plus                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 </font></td>
