<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Summary: <BR><BR>Primary duties consist of providing technical consultation and creating technical documents relevant to fluid power component and system designs. Must use knowledge and expertise to define project-specific design requirements, develop design solutions, and provide technical advice to internal and external customers.<BR><BR>Job Responsibilities:<BR><BR>• Participate with project teams to define the hydraulic and pneumatic power requirements beyond the proposal and order preparation phase of a project.<BR>• Acts as project lead for fluid power systems design.<BR>• Create the design documents necessary for acquiring customer approval for fluid power designs; oversee production of design documents necessary for equipment production.<BR>• Serve as liaison between customer’s technical personnel for fluid power issues throughout the project, up to and including product start-up.<BR>• Review the approval drawings and resultant manufacturing drawings for accuracy and compliance with relevant safety requirements.<BR>• Provide documented technical and analytical evaluations for the design solutions as part of the project file.<BR>• Prepare and release associated design documents.<BR>• Create and maintain design standards as necessary.<BR>• Assist the purchasing department with all phases of procurement of fluid power systems and components.<BR>• Provide technical consultation to sales, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and field service personnel.<BR>• Travel as required.<BR>• Implement company vision statement, mission statement, and corporate and departmental goals and objectives.<BR>• Abide by company policies.<BR>• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>• High School Diploma or GED required<BR>• A.A. degree in a Fluid Power Technology curriculum or equivalent<BR>• Ten (10) years of combined commercial and technical experience in the fluid power industry<BR>• Extensive knowledge of design and operation of fluid power equipment<BR>• Strong communication skills and experience in technical writing<BR>• Experience with standard office software programs<BR>• Knowledge of shop procedures, machining operations, and other fabrication methods.<BR>• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer and supplier relationships<BR>• Ability to work independently, with minimal management and technical direction, and as a member of the Engineering department<BR><BR>Language Skills <BR><BR>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.<BR><BR>Mathematical Skills <BR><BR>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.<BR><BR>Reasoning Ability <BR><BR>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
