Membership in the National Guard is Required:  This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in the Washington National Guard as a condition of employment. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

Bargaining Areas of Consideration: 

This position is in the Federal Service under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709

Area 1: In-Service Excepted - All permanent Washington Air National Guard Excepted and Competitive bargaining unit civil service employees, and members with excepted technician re-employment rights to the Washington Air National Guard.

Area 3: In-State Excepted - All participating members of the Washington Air National Guard, including in-service technicians that are not covered by the bargaining unit, and indefinite employees.

Area 4: Nationwide Excepted - Anyone eligible for immediate enlistment in the Washington Air National Guard.
