<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Position Responsibilities: <BR>Responsible for the testing and turn-up of Lightwave telecommunications systems and associated electronic equipment per specifications and engineering standards across the Verizon network. Perform testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment and fiber according to published standards. Assembles and/or tests transmission equipment, Orderwire and housekeeping alarms per specifications. Perform support functions for other employees while in the terminal or field. Coordinates and completes the testing and turn up of orders with remote test centers and projects with project management and engineering. Complete dispatches to customer locations and fiber locating. Must have 2-5 years in telecom industry with recent technology knowledge and experience. Requires above average knowledge of electronics, electricity and transmission systems turn-up and test procedures, or related discipline, gained through technical training and a minimum of two years directly related work experience. Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and providing as-built drawings to engineering. Proficient with PC word processing and communications software. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. <BR>Required Skills & Experience: <BR>Associates degree in electronics preferred with a minimum of 3 years job related experience preferred but will consider job-experience in lieu of education or combination of education and experience. Uses working knowledge of telecommunications equipment, processes and systems, as well as department policies and procedures. <BR>Must possess a valid Washington state driver''s license and have a clean driving record. <BR>Desired Skills & Experience: <BR>1.
