Works in collaboration with the Northwest MedStar Clinical Nurse Educator to identify and evaluate outreach opportunities and to establish goals and priorities for referring agency personnel. May provide educational offerings as needed. Approximate time expenditures: 90% Medical Provider Outreach, 10% Outreach Education.<BR><BR>                                     <BR>KEY RESULT AREAS AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES - All functions are essential functions unless otherwise noted.<BR>1. Organizes and directs outreach activities directed toward healthcare providers (physicians, emergency department staff, emergency medical responders, etc.) to foster stronger relationships with Northwest Medstar developing brand loyalty and preference.<BR><BR>2. Works with physicians and other health professionals in promoting the use of Northwest MedStar Transport services.<BR><BR>3. Attends and actively participates on regional councils and other healthcare collaborative meetings to ensure a consistent Northwest MedStar presence that advocates for positions that best serve the interest of our patients and program.<BR><BR>4. In collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Educator plans and initiates outreach programs (including aircraft safety and clinical education), provides formal and informal teaching to referring agencies with the intent to increase the operational and clinical effectiveness of Northwest MedStar.<BR><BR>5. Promotes the adoption and utilization of innovative applications and services to increase transport services for Northwest MedStar.<BR><BR>6. In additional to outreach activities, works with Northwest MedStar management to conduct ongoing, regular outreach visits with clinical leadership at hospitals and EMS agencies.<BR> <BR>7. All employees of Inland Northwest Health Services who have direct or indirect access to patient health information must treat that information with the strictest confidence. Any unauthorized access, modification, disclosure or casual discussion of such information shall be considered a violation of this policy and shall be the grounds for disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.<BR><BR>8. A Respiratory Therapist that meets all the requirements for the position besides the Washington RN license may be considered for the position. <BR><BR>COMPLEXITY AND SUPERVISION<BR>Creates and implements sophisticated outreach programs and related materials without appreciable direction.
