Prepares and presents quality snacks<BR>and lunches.<BR>· Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically<BR>· Orders food and supplies<BR>· Dispenses medication, as requested<BR>· Complies with KLC and all governmental regulations regarding the care of children<BR>· Understands responsibilities as a mandated reporter<BR>· Maintains records in compliance with CACFP guidelines and requirements<BR>· Keeps the Director informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of children<BR>· Completes timely and accurate documentation according to KLC and other licensing or regulation requirements<BR>· Assists and accepts responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other personnel are not available<BR>· Attends and participates in staff meetings, center events, and parent/customer meetings as requested<BR>Requirements: Skills, Education / Knowledge, Experience<BR>EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE<BR>· Familiarity with proper conditions and food storage<BR>· Ability to plan nutritious menus and prepare sufficient quantity of foods for center population<BR>· Ability to understand and follow special food plans for food-allergic children or children with other food service special needs<BR>· Ability to understand food cross-contamination needs of food allergic children and ability to implement methods of food cross-contamination avoidance<BR>· Basic math skills required for measuring and calculating serving portions<BR>EXPERIENCE<BR>· 1+ years of institutional cooking experience highly desirable<BR>· 2+ years of experience working with children highly desirable<BR>· 1+ years of experience ordering food and related supplies desirable<BR>OTHER REQUIREMENTS<BR>· Ability to respond appropriately in an emergency situation required<BR>· Good organizational skills required<BR>· Familiarity with computers desirable<BR>· Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours required<BR>· CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain desirable<BR>· Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to drive center vehicles desirable<BR><BR>COMMUNICATION SKILLS<BR>Good verbal, listening, and written communication skills required<BR>PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT<BR>Work is primarily performed in the center e </font></td>
