Serving as the DS Manager/Architect''s delegate, you will work to ensure the ITD''s DS Engineers and Technicians adhere to the Company''s IT organizational and architectural direction. You will have the direct responsibility for quality of all DS Engineering designs and will be accountable for process creation and enforcement.<BR>Your Job Duties/Responsibilities:<BR>* Maintain customer and vendor relationships.<BR>* Maintain a technology leadership role and expertise.<BR>* Responsible for maintaining expert knowledge of hardware, operating systems and distributed systems technologies.<BR>* Recommend technology cycles and work to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for all DS technologies.<BR>* Execute assignments under minimal direction and delegate routine technical and design functions to ITD DS Engineering staff and provide ongoing oversight. Will be expected to meet project deadlines and budgets.<BR>* Frequently design for five or more concurrent projects.<BR>* Frequently will lead design and be responsible for leading design staff. Mentors and provides direction to DS ITD resources.<BR>* Provide design work for the PMO while adhering to project methodology guidelines.<BR>* Manage and follow technology lifecycle roadmaps for all DS technologies, as set forth by DS Manager/Architect.<BR>* Research and resolve most complex problems, generally escalated from ITD resources.<BR>* Develop, maintain and adhere to DS design process and procedures.<BR>* Execute RFP''s, co-developed with DS Manager/Architect, to research and recommend technology solutions.<BR>* Develop and maintain quality checks and process for all ITD DS designs and product deliveries.<BR>* Adhere to Security Guidelines and Procedures.<BR>This is an estimated 365+ day Contingent/Temporary position in Spokane, WA and offered throughVolt Technical Resources, located in Spokane Valley, WA.
