A North side employer now part of a global company providing a full range of equipment, systems, and services to mining, aggregate and bulk solids industries is recruiting for an Electrical Controls Engineer for designing and implementing control systems for mobile mining equipment to work out of their Spokane office. Will be working on the complete electrical systems solutions for the machines ranging from initial control panel layout and component selection, to designing and programming of the control systems. The design and implementation of machine control systems is the main focus of the position. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Must have a bachelors degree in electrical engineering or automation, controls or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years or more in machine design combined with PLCs. - Must have an detailed understanding of the dynamics and interaction of electrical actuated components in close relation with hydraulic and mechanical systems. Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral: - Must have experience reviewing technical specifications and skills in technical writing, must have a demonstrated ability to work with other groups, including internationally, and will be required to technically support projects in their start-up phase and be able to travel domestically and internationally, and must possess both theoretical and practical skills within machine designs and project execution, and have the ability to handle varying workloads in a dynamic diverse working environment working independently while focused on meeting deadlines. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in field bus operation preferred (Modbus, Profibus, etc.) HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE: Full time hours with some international travel required. Near public transportation. SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS: Salary depending on experience and qualifications.
