Centrally located employer working with persons with disabilities is recruiting for an Employment Support Specialist to perform job coaching duties for individuals with disabilities. Assist individuals in a variety of settings including the community, at work and in employerA?s specialized industries workshop. Assist and provide on-the-job training and daily job duties to ensure the individualA?s success in their Pathway to Employment. Responsible to coach the employees in learning work-related activities and requirements such as attendance rules; and learn appropriate work-related (including social) behaviors when dealing with supervisors, co-workers and customers. Must be able to manage multiple priorities, work under stressful situations and work independently with the ability to work with several supervisors. Responsible for all documentation/reporting, training and certifications provided. Work in a group setting with participants in building job related skills. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - High school degree/ GED required. - Demonstrated Microsoft Office/Excel experience and strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral: - Empathy for those with disabilities or disadvantages is required. - Must pass a background check, pre-screening drug test, have a valid driverA?s license, maintain vehicle insurance and be insurable by employer vehicle insurance carrier. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with people with a disability preferred. Must be 21 or older to be insurable. HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE: Full-time positions 1 position will be Mon-Fri; 8am-4:30pm; must have flexible schedule for occasional split shifts, weekends, days hours may vary and the other will be On-call; hours and days may vary; occasional hours on weekends as needed.
