Applicant must read ``How to Apply`` section for full Referral Instructions.  Spokane County residents should follow instructions to schedule an appointment.  Also please dress interview appropriate when requesting a referral.<BR><BR>Manages and develops environmental, health and safety compliance policies and program to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. <BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>-Associate Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety and/or Environmental Science or relevant technical or engineering discipline, OR five (5) to seven (7) years equivalent background of experience and training providing knowledge of appropriate safety practices, principles and procedures. <BR>- Able to develop and implement environmental, health and safety compliance programs and actions to ensure compliance with company, state and federal safety policies and regulations. <BR>-Able to oversee the proper use and handling of hazardous materials and perform proper sample collection and testing/analysis of hazardous materials.<BR>-Able to submit annual and bi-annual required environmental reports.<BR>-Able to maintain current knowledge and competencies in the environmental, health and safety field.<BR>-Able to perform other duties as assigned and travel 30% of the time to other facilities.<BR><BR><b>Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral:</b><BR>-Ability to communicate, written and verbally, effectively throughout all levels of the organization and with outside entities. <BR>-Adequate computer, math and problem solving abilities to ensure appropriate solutions to challenges in all aspects of the position.<BR> <BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :</b><BR>-Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards.<BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR>This is a day shift position typically working 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. Public transportation is not available.<BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:</b><BR>Annual salary starting at $52,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
