Applicant must read "How to Apply" section for full Referral Instructions. <BR><BR>A North side employer now part of a global company providing a full range of equipment, systems, and services to mining, aggregate and bulk solids industries is recruiting for an Field Support Engineer - Electrical Controls. This position primarily serves as the controls resource between the company and the client on the material handling equipment operating at or soon to be operating at the client site and will also act as a conduit for the engineering staff providing the necessary feedback and recommendations of the installed equipment in the field.  Additional duties will include providing technical assistance with controls maintenance support, commissioning and testing of the material handling equipment, provide operation and maint. training of the material handling equip. as required, assist in the preparation of, functional specifications, equip. assembly documentation and checkout procedures for the PLC logic, assist with the equip. maint. and refurbishment, will monitor both method and quality of equip. assembly and installation work, carry out commissioning activities in accordance with the approved commissioning plan and procedures, recommend updates to drawings and registers as required, report customer activities and sales opportunities as appropriate, and perform onsite inspections of material handling equip. and communicate back site report writing and any operational recommendations.<BR>  <BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>- Bachelors Degree within the Controls and Electrical Engineering field and two (2) or more years of related experience in controls engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  <BR>- Must understand PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Seimens, Modicon, GE) and operations, equipment start-up procedures, verification of instruments and field devices, and an understanding of equipment maint. practices. <BR>- Must have the ability to read and interpret schematics and perform troubleshooting.  <BR>- Must have an intermediate skill level with Microsoft  Office products including word, Excel, and PowerPoint. <BR><BR><b>Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral:</b><BR>- Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures,able to write routine reports and coorespondence, have the ability to present information and respondto questions from managers, engineers, clients, and customers.     <BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>- Bilingual in other languages such as Spanish, German, or French would be beneficial but not essential. <BR>- Actual site experience in a construction or operations environment desired.  <BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR>Monday through Friday. Near public transportation. <BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:</b><BR>Salary depending on experience.
