               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Under the administrative supervision of the Director of Pioneer Center East and the operational supervision of the Food Services Manager and in accordance with program policy, goals, and purposes, the Food Services Specialist is responsible for handling and serving food to residents.  The Food Services Specialist is responsible for serving food in accordance with federal, state, and local food handing regulations.  Further, the Food Services Specialist is responsible for suggesting and recommending changes in program, policy and procedure.  The Food Services Specialist is responsible for providing high quality services under the least restrictive conditions feasible.<BR><BR>Pioneer Center East provides semi-secure, long-term residential treatment for 48 chronic chemically dependent men and women.<BR><BR>Pioneer Human Services (PHS) is a nationally recognized statewide non-profit organization with over 50 locations providing an integrated array of services to include employment and training, chemical dependency treatment, mental health counseling and corrections service.<BR><BR>The Food Service Specialist will be responsible for the following services:<BR><BR>Providing a healthy dining environment, which includes the maintenance of the cleanliness and appearance of the dining space for residents.<BR><BR>Aiding in the educational process--academic, social, and nutritional.<BR><BR>Reports maintenance and supply needs in accordance with procedure.<BR><BR>Assists in purchasing of food and kitchen supplies.<BR><BR>Works in cooperation with Second Chance/Brownstone to prepare and serve nutritious lunch and dinner to residents.<BR><BR>Provides breakfast and snacks for residents within nutritional guidelines.<BR><BR>Transports and stores food according to accepted health and safety codes.<BR><BR>Cleans food serving and dining areas according to standards.<BR><BR>Serves food to residents as directed.<BR>Education & Experience Required<BR><BR>    Current food handlers permit.<BR>    Valid Washington State driver's license.<BR>    Experience in the food service field; knowledge and interest in meal delivery as a function of residential treatment desired.<BR>    Current First Aid and CPR training.<BR>    May be required to assume responsibilities or duties within the program not specifically delineated in this job description for short periods of time or on an infrequent basis.<BR>    Blood borne Pathogens training (annually).<BR>    Cultural Diversity training.<BR>    Suicide Intervention training.<BR><BR>Additional information<BR><BR>Staffing schedules involve varied hours and weekend shifts.<BR>Driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.<BR>Application Process<BR><BR>Pioneer Human Services is an equal opportunity employer.
