               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">_SGL GC 2012">Genetic Counselor for Signature Genomics<BR><BR><BR>Job Type :Full Time<BR>Career Level :Experienced (Non-Manager)<BR>Education :Master's Degree<BR>Location :Spokane WA US 99207<BR><BR>Job Description :<BR><BR><BR>This is a lab-based position that involves coordinating with clients for laboratory testing, relaying diagnostic results to clients, supporting on-going educational efforts of our company, coordinating clinical studies, active participation in national and international scientific meetings and publishing case reports or series of cases.<BR><BR>Key Responsibilities:<BR><BR>* Discuss benefits and limitations of diagnostic testing and test results with physicians, genetic counselors, and other health professionals<BR>* Develop literature for patients and health care professionals<BR>* Refers patients to appropriate health care providers<BR>* Coordinate research projects<BR>* Present at regional, national, and international scientific meetings<BR>* Support for Sales, Marketing, Managed Care and Research & Development<BR>* Participation in bringing to market new diagnostic technologies<BR>* Participation in development of promotional materials including website revisions and updates<BR>* Project management for a variety of initiatives related to the above duties<BR>Job Requirements :<BR><BR>* Masters Degree in Genetic Counseling<BR>* ABGC certification or eligibility<BR>* Eagerness to work in dynamic laboratory setting with emerging technologies and to communicate new technologies to health care providers desired<BR>* Experience working in a diagnostic laboratory setting preferred<BR>* 1-3 years experience in prenatal and postnatal genetic counseling preferred, however, new graduates are encouraged to apply<BR>* Experience handling research projects, coordinating clinical studies, publishing case reports, presenting at scientific meetings preferred<BR>* Background in cancer cytogenetics or interest in this area a plus<BR>* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
