               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Health Unit Coordinator - Medical/Oncology (on-call)<BR>Location: Washington-Spokane<BR>Job Number:_09859<BR>Providence is calling a Health Unit Coordinator to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA.<BR>We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated individual to provide secretarial and technical assistance support for the nursing unit. <BR><BR>This is a on-call per diem position, and scheduled shifts would be dependent upon the availability of the candidate selected for the position. Rotating weekends are required.<BR><BR>In this position you will:<BR>* Initiate and prioritize the accurate processing and transcription of provider orders<BR>* Assemble and maintain patient charts, current forms and results/reports<BR>* Assess, order and maintain unit supplies and equipment<BR>* Serve as the hub of all communication for the unit; acts as the front-line customer service representative of the unit<BR>* Be accountable for the efficient coordination of unit activities, including patient placement, scheduling, coordination with other departments for patient care services and the effective dissemination and prioritization of information<BR>* Work under the direction of the charge nurse<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Required  qualifications for this position include:<BR>* High School diploma or equivalent<BR>* Completion of medical terminology course or experience<BR>* Current CPR certification<BR>* Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English<BR><BR>Preferred  qualifications for this position include:<BR>* Graduate of an accredited Health Unit Coordinator training class<BR>* One year experience performing secretarial duties in health care or equivalent training in a recognized health care program<BR>* Accurate typing/keyboarding skills<BR>About the hospital you will serve.<BR>Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children?s Hospital has a commanding presence in Spokane, Washington and is a beacon of hope and healing for patients throughout the region.
