Applicant must read ``How to Apply`` section for full Referral Instructions. <BR>Local organization in downtown Spokane assisting with housing is seeking Housing Improvements Crew Supervisor who Supports Housing Improvements operations, including weatherization, conservation, minor home repair, and rehabilitation, by making home improvements to single family home, multi-family housing, and mobile homes.  Provides onsite Supervision, training, inspections, and other related functions.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>- High School or equivalent and five years of experience in all phases of minor home repair and/or weatherization work at SNAP plus one year of Supervisory experience.<BR>- Ability to empathize with and advocate for low-income and vulnerable people, and to maintain confidentiality with personal information<BR>- Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, weatherization, and structural repair techniques, tools, materials, and safety requirements<BR>- Knowledge of or ability to learn weatherization skills for single- and multi-family homes, as well as mobile homes<BR>- Knowledge of or ability to learn weatherization theory, installation techniques, and specifications<BR>- Ability to safely use construction and insulation tools, materials, and equipment<BR>- Ability to install doors and windows<BR>- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on effectively working in a team environment and with a diverse population<BR>- Ability to complete paperwork in a legible manner<BR>- Ability to be certified for respirator use and to participate in annual lead exposure testing<BR>- Safety training (ongoing)<BR>- Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record<BR>- Completes classes in Lead Safe Weatherization and asbestos, containment and cleanup<BR>- Building Performance Institute certified or able to become certified within 6 months<BR><BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>- AA Degree and 5 years Supervisory experience<BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR>Schedule will be discussed at time of interview.
