Fast paced, dynamic South Hill insurance agency seeks licensed insurance producer. The provider will be responsible for the following: - Sell life, property, casualty, health, automotive, or other types of insurance. - Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts. - Calculate premiums and establish payment method. - Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to analyze insurance program and suggest additions or changes, or to change beneficiaries. - Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person or property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage. - Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitably for both the client and the insurer. - Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals. - Plan and oversee incorporation of insurance program into bookkeeping system of company. - Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have Washington State Property, Casualty, Life and Disability (Health) insurance licenses at the time of application. Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral: Must have a minimum of 6 months prior office experience Must have intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Prior experience is a plus. Also please dress interview appropriate when requesting a referral. - Honorably discharged veterans, widows/widowers, or spouses of honorably discharged veterans who have service connected permanent and total disability are encouraged to apply. HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week. 8:00-6:00 M-F and Some Saturdays. Near Public Transportation SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS: $10.00- $12.00 + commission.
