Responsibilities include travel to job locations throughout the entire United States and overtime. You will be responsible for the erection of large (up to 7500 square foot) flat roof steel canopies including both bolt-up and weld-up designs. Construction at these commercial jobsites will include supervision of two to three helpers including operation of aerial lifts and use of power tools. <BR><BR>Successful candidates will be proficient in stick welding, structural steel, sheet metal (fascia/backflashing), metal roofing, and equipment operation. A minimum of 30 months in welding of sheet metal roofing is required. Applicants must be able to lift 90 pounds daily and have a current valid drivers license. Advanced communication skills are required for interaction with General Contractors, office staff and coworkers. Candidates for hire must be able to interpret blueprints, possess advanced applied mathematics skills, and be resourceful in executing equipment rentals, car rentals, lodging, itinerary, and material logistics. The employer prefers a High School diploma or GED, WABO or other related certifications, and basic Microsoft Word skill for report submission. Candidates with felony convictions in the last 3 years will not be considered for these positions.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>- 30 or more months welding of sheet metal roofing<BR>- Previous stick welding experience<BR>- Able to read and interpret blueprints<BR>- Working-level knowledge of structural steel, sheet metal, and equipment operation<BR><BR><b>Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral:</b><BR>- Current valid drivers license<BR>- Ability to lift 90 pounds<BR>- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check <BR>- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a crew<BR>- Advanced math skills<BR>- Advanced verbal communication skills<BR>- Willing to travel nationwide on the job<BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>- WABO or AWS certification<BR>- GED/High School Diploma<BR>- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word including ability to include photos in document<BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR>40 or more hours weekly typically on Monday through Saturday days with overtime required as needed; public transportation is not appropriate for this position<BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:</b><BR>$15.00 to $18.00 per hour plus a $3.00 per hour bonus when in the field; after a qualifying period, benefits include medical, dental paid holidays, and vacation<BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE/DEADLINE:</b><BR>The recruitment period will remain active until filled, expired, at the direction of the employer or until the number of referrals have been met. <BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY / REQUEST A REFERRAL:</b><BR>Targeted Electronic Resume accurately reflecting Job Description and Requirements is required at the time of referral request.
