The Machinistwill perform all machining operations required to produce finished products from a variety of materials. Individuals will work from blueprints, specifications, job layouts, and written and/or oral instructions for the successful set-up and operation of manual machine tools and set-up/operation of CNC machine tools, dimensional inspection, data collection, and paperwork completion<BR><BR>Position Responsibilities :<BR>? Successfully create parts from a blueprint, manufacturing operations and tooling instructions, or engineering instructions<BR>? Set-up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc., to very close tolerances Use micrometers/other measuring instruments in order to perform quality control checks on parts in-process and upon completion<BR>? Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner<BR>? Recommend changes to processes or procedures to improve quality and productivity Exercise care and safe work practices - work requires close tolerances and fine finishes Tasks may include development parts, depending upon production demands and product mix<BR>? Determine which of several alternatives to use in conjunction with the programmer to accomplish tasks<BR>? Make simple program changes and fixture modifications via manual edits<BR>? Solve problems and deviations in accordance with previous training; interact with engineers to find solutions to new or unusual problems<BR>? Enter process data when required<BR>? Perform necessary tasks and paperwork for the proper movement and control of parts and material in conjunction with manufacturing tracking system<BR>? Actively participate in Honeywell Operating System (HOS) activities, daily meetings, understand what is to be accomplished during the shift, and discuss any new shift related issues<BR>? Actively participate in Honeywell Structured Safety Process (SSP) activities, </font></td>
