Applicant must read ``How to Apply`` section for full Referral Instructions.  Spokane County residents should follow instructions to schedule an appointment.  Also please dress interview appropriate when requesting a referral.<BR><BR>A large national food company with multiple factories located across the country with a production facility located in North Spokane is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician for their facility.  Duties of the position include monitoring and maintaining smooth plant operation, including production and packaging processes, support systems and facilities. Additionally with little or no supervision, disassembles / assembles, repairs, constructs, overhauls, maintains and installs all types of new and existing processing and packaging equipment and conveying, hydraulic and air systems as required, will perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, responds to calls for service to any line in a timely manner, independently troubleshoots equipment that is in need of repair or that is operating at substandard level, makes repairs and adjustments in a timely fashion to ensure minimal downtime, assists other maintenance personnel as needed, addresses building maintenance issues as required, and cleans all machinery, equipment and tools as required. <BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>- Must have three (3) to five (5) years experience and knowledge of shop tool usage, knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing/pipefitting, and pneumatic systems and trouble shooting, as well as the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics and previous experience in manufacturing maintenance, is not an entry level position. <BR>- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.    <BR><BR><b>Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral:</b> <BR>Must have the ability to communicate effectively with management and fellow employees, have the ability to read, write and interpret documents, to speak with vendors in a professional manner, and have basic hand tools, power tools and consumables, will have a place to store personal hand tools provided by the company, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. <BR> <BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :</b><BR>An associated degree in a technical trade school or equivalent desired.  <BR><BR> <b>HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:</b><BR>Shift hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday, NOTE Mandatory overtime is required of this position.  Due to shift hours public transportation may not be available. <BR><BR><b>SALARY / WAGE / BENEFITS:</b> <BR>Wage starts at $16.08 and after 90 days increase will increase to $19.75/hour.  Benefits include medical, dental, 401(k), paid holiday after 90 days employment, and after one year, paid vacation.<BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE / DEADLINE:</b><BR>The recruitment period will remain active until filled, expired, at the direction of the employer or until the number of referrals have been met. <BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY</b><BR>Targeted Electronic Resume, cover letter, and generic app. accurately reflecting Job Description and Requirements is required at the time of referral request.
