Post insurance and patient payments and manage accounts. Submit claims, insurance authorizations and follow up with insurance carriers on unpaid or rejected claims. Answer patient inquires on account status and charges. Report to billing supervisor.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>- High School Diploma or GED. May include some post secondary education in a Medical Billing certificate program.<BR><BR><b>Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral:</b><BR>- Applicants selected for an interview will be required to take a written examination prior to the interview.  <BR>- Demonstrated knowledge on insurance and reimbursement process.<BR>- Basic understanding of medical ICD 9 codes and CPT medical billing codes.<BR>- Demonstrated good math and data entry (typing) skills<BR>- Familiarity with HIPAA privacy requirements for patient information to maintain and protect confidential information.<BR>- Proficient in use of computers and common office equipment.<BR>- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills.<BR>- Demonstrated good telephone and patient relation skills.<BR>- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction and oversight.<BR>- Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize work.<BR>- Friendly attitude, sense of humor and self-motivated<BR>- Good judgment and discretion<BR> <BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR><BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR>Monday ?
