Recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment; helps customer develop supporting annual budget.COMPLEXITY AND SUPERVISION<BR>Applies in-depth technical knowledge to efficiently accomplish complex tasks and/or small projects. Simultaneously works on multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Solves unique problems that do not have precedence. Works under general direction.<BR> <BR>TECHNOLOGY / EQUIPMENT USED:<BR>Phone, fax, copier, printers, PC, laptop, mouse, keyboard, monitors, MS Office, Internet, email, Outlook calendar, MOX, HEAT, Meditech, MS Windows, wide variety of network design, planning, analysis and monitoring tools, programming languages.<BR><BR>KEY RESULT AREAS AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES - All functions are essential functions unless otherwise noted.<BR>* Designs, implements and maintains network components such as hubs, routers, switches and terminal servers into multiple topologies and architectures. Integrates components such as work stations, printers, host and server platforms and asynchronous devices into LAN and WAN systems.<BR>* Designs cabling infrastructures for voice, video and data communications.<BR>* Coordinates schedules of operations personnel and customers to ensure timely and smooth implementation of services.<BR>* Monitors network utilization and provides timely resolution of problems and Requests for Service<BR>* Evaluates and recommends new technologies, products, tools and technique for incorporation into the production environment.<BR>* Performs tasks such as network design, organizational analysis, network testing, hardware planning, implementation planning, cost/benefit analysis and systems documentation.<BR>* Conceptualizes and analyzes complex technical issues for multiple users.<BR>* Updates databases with information from completed work orders, trouble tickets, etc.<BR>* Develops and maintains network and production support tracking systems to ensure the continuation of current customer service levels.<BR>* Receives, logs and responding to requests for services. Assist Help Desk Coordinators in problem resolution. Documents support activities according to department standards and procedures. Must supply timely solutions for the data needs required in responding to opportunities. Resolves operations problems and coordinates resolution with the vendor if necessary.<BR>* Seeks to improve current processes.<BR>* Documents adds, moves and change.<BR>* Communicates timely and accurately with users, vendors, peers and management.
