<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><BR>Duties & Responsibilities<BR>Participate in and satisfactorily complete orientation. Complete shift change at the beginning and end of each shift. Receive and complete resident care assignments and other activities as assigned. Must have ability to work multiple shifts. Perform all clinical duties as instructed. These duties may include, but may not be limited to the following:<BR><BR>Provide medication assistance for residents and complete required charting. Update resident charting of care given and observations on a daily basis. Assist residents with bathing on a daily basis, per posted bath schedules. Take resident vital signs on a monthly basis, or as requested by licensed nurses. Prepare residents for meals. Pass breakfast, lunch, and dinner trays. Assist residents in simple nail care, oral hygiene, denture care, dressing, grooming, and routine ambulation. Cleaning of patient care equipment as needed. Making and changing resident beds as needed or requested, on a daily basis. Display a pleasant, interested and positive approach to residents. Be an active listener to resident needs and concerns. Maintain and respect privacy and confidentiality in relationship to both residents and staff. Treat all residents and staff with respect and dignity. Work in a team setting with staff from various departments. Attend all in-service education programs and staff meetings required of all personnel. Document all care given and all observations made while providing care. Report to licensed nurses immediately when observing any unusual or significant change(s) in a resident’s physical or behavioral condition. Seek out assistance when unsure of assignment, procedure, or situation. Adhere to Carlyle Care Center policies, procedures, and management decisions. Ensure that proper hand washing, hygiene, and infection control techniques are exercised. Other duties as assigned.<BR><BR>Summary of Critical Physical Demands:<BR>This position requires standing and walking for two hours at a time, up to eight hours out of an eight-hour day. Lifting ranges up to 10 pounds frequently with seldom lifting of 25 to 50 pounds. There is occasional bending, twisting or kneeling performed, with occasional reaching and frequent handling and grasping. This position requires the ability to provide emergency resident care in whatever position the resident is found. This position requires constant sight and communication.<BR><BR>Education & Experience Required<BR>• High School Diploma or GED required. <BR>• Must be a Certified or Registered Nursing Assistant with a Washington State NAC or NAR license in good standing. <BR>• Applicants with NAR licenses must have worked in 2010 in an applicable setting. <BR>• Preference given to applicants with mental health and medication assistance experience. <BR>• Applicant must be able to successfully pass a Washington State DSHS background check. <BR>• Applicant must obtain a TB test within 72 hours of hire and complete HIV/AIDS Training and CPR/First Aid Training within 30 days of hire. <BR>• Applicant must also complete Fundamentals of Caregiving Training, Mental Health Specialty Training, Dementia Specialty Training, and Developmental Disability Specialty Training within 120 days of hire.
