<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Busy specialty medical office seeking a certified Medical Assistant that can perform back office duties. We are growing and need a competent CMA who can grow with us. We're seeking an individual who performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission and Philosophy of our medical practice. Only applicants that meet mandatory qualifications will be considered.<BR><BR>Employee Status: Regular<BR>Minimum Salary: $13.00 <BR>Maximum Salary: $DOE <BR>Union: No<BR> <BR>Shift Hours: Flexible during business hours of 07:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.<BR>Days of the Week Scheduled: Monday-Friday<BR>Schedule: Part time – 20hrs/week <BR><BR><BR>Job Description:<BR>Primary Duties and Responsibilities are as follows. Other duties may be assigned. <BR><BR>•Lab draws and performing UA's, Urine Cultures, etc <BR>•Rooming pt’s<BR>•Assist with minor procedures<BR>•Injections/Vaccinations<BR><BR><BR>Escorts patients to and from exam rooms. Performs activities to ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy in full consideration of patient safety needs. <BR><BR>Assists the physician or other medical providers in implementing the medical care plan to include obtaining history and physical, accurate vital signs, medication administration, tests, and procedures, placing and receiving phone calls, scheduling pt. visits using GE Centricity, accepting patient payments.<BR><BR>Collects and records patient data including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Communicates pertinent patient information to the appropriate person(s). <BR><BR>Performs screening and assists physicians/nurses with other selected treatments and procedures. <BR><BR>Prepares patients for physician exams and provides assistance as requested by the physician. <BR><BR>Cleans and restocks exam rooms.<BR> <BR>Assists in maintaining a clean, safe and well-stocked environment. Cleans equipment on a routine basis.<BR><BR>Job Qualifications:<BR>MANDATORY (must meet these qualifications before applying to this position): <BR>•High School Diploma or GED. <BR>•Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program, eligible for certification within one year of employment through American Association of Medical assistants (AAMA)<BR>•Current BLS for healthcare providers certification <BR>•Typing certificate 45 wpm , typing test is required at the time of an interview. <BR>•Demonstration of medical assisting skills such as would be obtained in externship portion of Medical Assisting program working in the back office of a licensed physician. <BR>•Knowledge of what constitutes a medical emergency requiring a physician or licensed nurse's attention. <BR>•Knowledge of scope of practice of a Medical Assistant. <BR>•Knowledge of medical terminology. <BR>•Knowledge of computers and their applications. <BR>•Ability to learn successfully and utilize the electronic health record. Ability to read, write and verbally communicate effectively and professionally in English. <BR>•Competency in basic Medical Assisting skills such as medication administration, chart documentation, taking vital signs, preparing patients for exam, performing basic testing such as finger sticks, ECGs etc. <BR>•Ability to efficiently operate office equipment, i.e. fax, photocopy machine, etc. Organizational skills are important for this position. <BR>•The ability to manage multiple priorities<BR> <BR>This is an Equal Opportunity Employer who provides competitive benefits, a drug-free workplace and supports work/life balance.</font></td>
