               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: *Patient Safety RN - Quality and Risk Management Dept. - Deaconess Hospital<BR>Location: WA-Spokane<BR>Summary:<BR>This position will provide improved patient safety by implementation of a dedicated RN to conduct unit specific tracer driven monitoring with focused observations to assure safe practices and identify opportunities to improve. <BR>o The RN will focus on monitoring hospital wide processess that encompasses critical care including ED, Medical/surgical (tower units) and procedural areas (OR/ cath labs, radiology, Short Stay units etc. with reporting to unit directors and nursing leadership as appropriate.)<BR>o The RN will conduct environmental safety tours and identify and rectify any patient safety/red flag issues in the environment/clinical areas in collaboration with the department director.<BR>o The RN will work closely with the patient safety team and will be responsible for coaching and teaching standards and creating supportive environment for team members. Activities will be integrated with educators, department directors, core measure specialists, and infection control and risk management.<BR>o RN will assist in Core measure follow-up and will be asked to cover for on one weekend periodically (once every 5th week) .<BR>o Regulatory Compliance: Meet or exceed standards related to regulatory standards.<BR>Education:Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Nursing Required<BR>Experience: Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience required (acute med/surg and or critical care preferred) 1-3 years experience in quality and/or risk field preferred. A working knowledge of quality improvement principles and health information. Must possess a positive working relationship with Medical Staff, department leaders and hospital staff throughout the facility.
