<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">This position directly assists the Payroll Director in monitoring the daily tasks necessary to accomplish the timely and accurate payment of wages to the University’s employee group. Reconciles and transmits monthly benefit premium payments and semi-monthly miscellaneous payroll deductions to vendors. Maintains payroll-related accounts and is responsible for the reconciliation and accuracy of accounts within a complex accounting system. Prepares and submits quarterly and annual state and federal payroll tax returns. Responsible for all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filing local, state, and federal payroll tax returns.<BR><BR>Essential Functions:<BR>Completes reconciliation of monthly benefit premium reports and miscellaneous payroll deductions such as child support and garnishments<BR><BR>Reconciles bank and tax deposits for semi-monthly payroll<BR><BR>Maintains general ledger payroll funds and accounts<BR><BR>Prepares and submits quarterly and annual state and federal tax returns<BR><BR>Monitors payroll website content for updates and changes and submits for approval as applicable<BR><BR>As directed, develops and compiles payroll reports, statistical data, and other data from the HRIS system. Maintains inventory of reports. Insures reports are accurate and reliable, and revises as necessary<BR><BR>Prepares special reports for senior management<BR><BR>Coordinates and assists with trouble shooting issues within the Banner HRIS Module; reviews upgrade data and oversees appropriate testing on new and upgraded software<BR><BR>Coordinates with the University payroll bank vendor for stop payment and reissue of lost payroll checks, and submission of pre-note and possitive pay files.<BR><BR>Develops and recommends strategies for continuous quality and efficiency improvement.
