Any offer of employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug test and background check.<BR>Title PRE SALES ENGINEER II - BMG<BR>Req ID 7098BR<BR>Posting Location WA,SPOKANE<BR>Business Unit RMG Business Sales & Care<BR>Position Classification Management<BR>Job Description <BR><BR>Designs viable complex voice and data network sales solutions for customer applications, including preparation of network topologies, technical specifications, and assist Sales with delivering proposals<BR>Assist Sales Rep with ICB development and review, and assembles required data and initiates Complex ICB process<BR>Customer sales presentations are an important responsibility of this position.<BR>This position has wide latitude for carrying out sales engineering duties and normally all design and pricing matters in the branch are resolved without his/her consultation.<BR>Handling complex questions encountered during installation and turn-up concerning design, pricing, and equipment operation.<BR>Participating in the sales life cycle ranging from introduction, interviewing, presenting, persuading, and closing new business to managing existing targeted accounts for additional revenue opportunities.<BR>Works with appropriate internal committees and departments to validate Embarq ability and willingness to offer a solution.<BR>Translates techno-speak to plain English for both customers and internal personnel and English to techno-speak at a level all can readily understand<BR>Interfaces with customers to determine short and long term technical requirements and expectations<BR>Assist Sales Rep with ICB development and review, and assembles required data and initiates Complex ICB process<BR>Develop and deliver appropriate ad-hoc training for sales, including new product and new technology<BR>Stay current with technologies and applications shifts and changes through trade magazines consumptions, attending conferences/forums, vendor engagement and product development.<BR><BR><BR>Job Requirements <BR><BR><BR>Job Requirements<BR>Certifications with Avaya Voice and Data Products.<BR>Experience working with Government & Education Services.<BR>Strong management, customer relations and organizing skills.<BR>Thorough understanding of professional engineering principles and thorough understanding of the financial requirements of the business.<BR>Excellent verbal and written communications skills.<BR>College degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Project Management or equivalent experience.<BR>Proficient sales skills in presentation, proposal design, and closing techniques are required.<BR>Demonstrated expert knowledge of general industry Layer 2 and layer 3 networking knowledge (such as 2547/IPVPN, MPLS, VPLS, MEF Carrier Class Ethernet Networks and VOIP, firewall, web hosting, managed server, collocation, IPPBX systems, Unified Communications, Contact Center, voicemail, Centrex, SONET digital hierarchy,<BR>Certification; CCNA, CCDA, </font></td>
