This position is responsible for reverse engineering aircraft electronic/electromechanical units to develop repair capability. Additional responsibilities include assisting the shop and other tasks assigned by supervisor.<BR><BR>Description of Duties and Responsibilities:<BR><BR>Review maintenance manuals to determine if the instructions are within the scope of the company to perform repairs.<BR>Reverse engineer electronic/electromechanical units to identify components.<BR>Reverse engineer circuit boards to create schematics.<BR>Create specifications for custom electronic and mechanical parts.<BR>Create 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for manufacturing and technical illustration.<BR>Write repair instructions for electronic/electromechanical units.<BR>Design, build and maintain test equipment for electronic/electromechanical units.<BR>Manage multiple projects simultaneously.<BR>Other tasks may be assigned by the supervisor such as assisting the shop with repairs, training, and reliability analysis.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR><BR> -5 years or more experience as R&D Engineer<BR>-Schematic Capture, PCB Design and Layout Programs<BR>- Drafting and Solid Modeling: AutoCAD and Inventor<BR>- Illustration programs<BR>- Ability to read and write technical manuals, specifications, drawings and schematics<BR>- MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)<BR>- Degree in one of the following: Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and/or five or more years experience in electronics design, reverse engineering, and avionics<BR><BR><b>Must be prepared and able to demonstrate the following qualifications at the time of referral:</b><BR>- Attention to detail and commitment to quality of work<BR>- Ability to work in a team environment<BR>- Take direction, be proactive, self starter<BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>Experience in electromechanical, hydraulics and aviation is preferred but not necessary<BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR> Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:30 PM - Not near public transportation.<BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:</b><BR>Salary depending on experience.
