Ensures medical records are in proper format. Registers new patients, and acts as primary telephone respondent. Receives and responds to request for information or patient records according to established hospital policy and procedure. Makes sure difficult records are located. Practices optimum guest relation skills in interacting with patients, physicians, other departments, and provides relief coverage for administration. Assures that all releases of information are done in accordance with federal and state law, and hospital policy.
