Work shifts are determined based upon the individual''s availability. Weekends are required. Per diem rate granted in lieu of benefits.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR><BR>In this position you will:<BR>* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care needs for patients with cancer.<BR>* Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs.<BR>* Care for patients requiring long term pain management and those receiving chemotherapy.<BR>* Demonstrate strong teaching and communication skills with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary medical professionals.<BR>* Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.<BR><BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Required qualifications for this position include:<BR>* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing<BR>* Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State<BR>* One year experience working as a RN in an acute care setting<BR>Preferred qualifications for this position include:<BR>* Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing (BSN)<BR>* Current Oncology certification<BR>* Current Chemotherapy certification<BR>* Recent experience in Medical Oncology setting<BR><BR><BR><BR>About the hospital you will serve.<BR>Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children?s Hospital has a commanding presence in Spokane, Washington and is a beacon of hope and healing for patients throughout the region.
