<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Resettlement and Health Care Associate<BR><BR><BR>Job Title: Resettlement and Health Care Associate<BR>Job Type: Full-Time<BR>Location: SPOKANE, WA<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Job Description:<BR><BR><BR>Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:<BR><BR>·Do health care assessment and develop a follow-up plan with client and case manager, which extends beyond the initial resettlement period.<BR>·Assist clients with special medical needs by accompanying them to medical appointments, ensuring that client understands medical condition, tests, treatment, and medications, advocating for needed services and training, visiting client in home when indicated, being on call to assist with accessing emergency medical care, keeping abreast of client needs in light of family self-sufficiency plan, and assisting clients to understand use of vouchers, services, and resources available.<BR>·Work with medical service providers on ways to tailor their services, information and education classes, and routine procedures and systems to be more usable and beneficial to refugees.<BR>·Train refugee clients to meet their own health care needs by teaching them to make appointments and by teaching them to find medical providers on the bus line, use a calendar, make appointments, get prescriptions filled, keep a health notebook and communicate pertinent information to physicians.<BR>·Alert case manager and job developer to major issues and document activities in each client file through timely case notes which reflect the status of each case.<BR>·Create procedure to track assessment, treatment, and follow-up for clients with special medical needs.<BR>·Assist with education in the home in areas of hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, food preparation, and resourcefulness.<BR>·Resettlement pre-arrival assistance such as: Start case files, Print resettlement forms from Citrix, Complete Resettlement lists, Gather Resettlement items at warehouse, Standards of Care shopping, Prepare Social Security application forms<BR>·Resettlement arrival and post-arrival assistance such as:Occasional airport arrivals, Case noting any services provided, Print Core Service Checklists and Resettlement Reports for approved cases, Home visits for cultural adjustment and reinforcement of home orientation materials<BR><BR><BR>Experience Preferred:<BR>¨Experience working in U.S. health care system<BR>¨Able to advocate for refugees with medical needs<BR>¨Cultural competence<BR>¨Able to set up medical tracking system<BR>¨Organizational skills with attention to detail<BR>¨Excellent written and verbal communication skills<BR>¨Able to work under pressure<BR>¨Computer skills<BR><BR>For World Relief staff strong commitment to the mission vision and values of World Relief is essential and Christian faith is a prerequisite for employment based upon United States federal guidelines provided in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.<BR><BR>Legal Background in the United States World Relief is both an equal opportunity employer and a fait </font></td>
