Itron, a leading provider of energy and water resource management solutions for utility companies around the world, has an opening for an experienced Sr. Payroll Administrator based in our corporate office in Liberty Lake, WA.<BR><BR>The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in processing the following types of data entry: new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays; maintain vacation, sick leave and worker''s compensation records; compile reports on base and premium pay; post entries to journals and ledgers; prepare tax deposits and reports; generate and distribute checks; research and produce special reports. This individual may also be required to assist Itron''s compensation staff in gathering data for compensation surveys. This position requires knowledge working with payroll in multiple states as well as some international experience processing payroll for Canadian employees. Strong preference given to candidates who have related experience in a corporate setting.<BR><BR>Duties & Responsibilities<BR><BR>? Create journal entries.<BR>? Assure computation of pay is according to company policy and in accordance with government regulations and tax codes.<BR>? Record new or changed pay rates in payroll register or computer files.<BR>? Supervise computation of pay according to company policy.<BR>? Direct the compilation and preparation of other payroll data, such as pension, insurance and credit union payments.<BR>? Review and approve payroll deductions.<BR>? Interpret company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.<BR>? Review payroll to ensure accuracy.<BR>? Review and reconcile accounts monthly.<BR>? Collect time from multiple time systems.<BR>? Move files between directories/folders.<BR>? Ability to manipulate files to import to different software.<BR>? Ability to use FTP sites.<BR>? May be responsible for assigning tasks to other Payroll Administrators.<BR>? Stress management and multi tasking skills required for this position.<BR><BR>Qualifications<BR><BR>Experience:This position requires a minimum of 4-6 years related experience in payroll or accounting. Experience using ADP Software Products strongly preferred.<BR>Education:AA or BA degree in accounting/payroll required.<BR>Certification(s):CPP and or FPC Preferred.<BR>Travel:10 - 30%<BR><BR>#CB1<BR><BR>Itron is an EOE AA Employer.
