<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">The Supervisor I/II provides direction and support of the daily operations in the Microbiological Quality Control Laboratory through scheduling, assignment of tasks among the analysts, and review and approval of the microbiological reports, associated documents, and records. Essential responsibilities are to:<BR>Supervisor I-<BR>1. Coordinate, schedule, and participate in the microbiological testing performed in the Micrbiological Quality Control Laboratory. This includes routine testing associated with approved products, raw material qualification testing, and special investigational testing as approved by the MQC Supervisor II or Department Manager. This requires close cooperation with Production Inventory Control and Manufacturing Departments.<BR>2. Oversee the training of MQC Analysts, which includes establishing the training program, conducting the training, documenting the training, and ensuring that the training program is in compliance with applicable procedures. The training encompasses safety, cGMPs, job functions, and new and revised standard operating procedures.<BR>3. Review and approve the microbiological test results prior to issuance from the laboratory; this includes review and approval of the laboratory report forms and the documentation associated with the generation of such results.<BR>4. Supervise and assist the analysts as they solve technical and microbiological problems.<BR>5. Complete the Performance Reviews for each direct-report including objective setting.<BR>6. Conduct periodic documented audits of procedures used within the laboratory to ensure that analysts are performing the tests in accordance with the procedures and that said procedures are written accurately and reflect the actual processes involved in the testing.<BR>7. Assess and recommend the acquisition of laboratory equipment that is needed to comply with test procedures and/or improve efficiencies in the laboratory.<BR>8. Review/Perform investigations of unexpected and out-of-specification test results.<BR>9. Serve as a Quality Unit Representative on a project team as needed to support Contract Manufacturing. <BR>Supervisor II-<BR>1. Provide direction, guidance, and support to Supervisor I’s and analysts as they solve technical and microbiological problems.<BR>2. Lead and complete unexpected result investigations for all products tested in the MQC laboratory per standard operating procedure (SOP) ensuring all corrective actions are implemented as appropriate. Review and trend investigations to determine system efficiencies and corrective actions for continuous improvement.<BR>3. Provide the input and oversight of microbiological method qualification/validation for products manufactured/tested under contract for a customer.<BR>4. Other duties listed on website.<BR>QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>• Education and Experience: The Supervisor I requires a B.S. degree in Microbiology or a closely related science, with 3 years of relevant experience. Supervisor II requires a B.S. degree in Microbiology or a closely related science, with a minimum of 5 years technical experience and 2 years supervisory experience. 5+ years related experience required in lieu of bachelors degree.<BR>• Must be able to evaluate microbiological findings, and effectively summarize and report conclusions and recommendations. <BR>• Must be able to work effectively with peers from other departments, on project teams, and with those individuals who report directly to this position. Must also be able to develop and effectively present training programs for the laboratory personnel that relate to safety, cGMPs, and job training. <BR>• Knowledge of cGMP’s, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience is required. SAP experience is desired.<BR>• Ability to lift up to 25 pound unassisted, 20/20 corrected vision.
